INSPIRATION ALERT! This Woman Has Missed Only 12 Days So Far in Her 2025 Running Streak

When Jane Spencer decided late last year to undertake a running streak in 2025, she knew it wouldn’t be easy. And it hasn’t been—the 39-year-old mother of three says she often struggles to find the time to run.
Today, however, Spencer is celebrating. Nearly six weeks into 2025, she’s run every single day of the year except for 12.
“It’s hard,” said Spencer. “I’m not going to lie. But you know, this running streak isn’t just for me. It’s for my kids, to teach them the importance of hard work and perseverance—of making a commitment and more or less sticking to it.”
For Spencer, that’s meant hitting the streets to run at least one mile every day of 2025, except for January 5, 11, 12, 15, 22, 27, and 29; and February 1, 2, 3, 6, and 10, so far.
“She’s a rock star,” said Frank Drebbin, Spencer’s husband. “Every day she gets herself out there for her run, no matter what, unless the weather is way too bad or her schedule just won’t allow it or she’s feeling sick.”
Spencer herself downplayed her feat.
“I’m proud of what I’ve done, but I’m no hero,” she said. “It’s just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other. Every day.”
She paused.
“Give or take.”
